The Art Institute of Pittsburgh -- Online Division
is a division of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, established
in 1921. For 79 years, The Art Institute has tailored its
programs to meet the demands of an ever-evolving job market.
That's why we offer many technology-driven programs as well
as a classic curriculum prepared with the help of program-specific
advisory boards made up of industry professionals.
Classes are asynchronous:
Students login to their classes five out of seven days a week,
without regard to their physical location or time of day.
We can extend the benefit of our education in the creative
and applied arts to adults whose full personal and professional
lives, geographic location or physical abilities limit their
ability to attend classes traditionally. All a student needs
is access to the Internet and the specified computer hardware
and software.
Classes are interactive:
The process is not passive! Students engage not only with
the lecture materials, assignments and readings, but also
with each other, through focused, facilitated discussions.
